Black and White Movie Portraits

A series of paintings in a horizontal format to mimic a movie screen.  Done in black and white, as was the film upon which each is based.  Each deals with a science fiction movie. These are meant to function as a "portrait" of the film, with the most interesting imagery culled from the film and placed within a single image.  As with the posters that advertise some the films, the actual imagery of the creatures, aliens and monsters of the movies is usually not shown for very long or distinctly, and in some cases, not at all.  The poster was the lure, the excitement and fun of the film.  It's what put asses in the seats, and this series is a sort of homage to that philosophy.
